School Conduct & Regulations

Buddhist Girls' College is committed to maintaining a safe, respectful, and conducive learning environment. All students are expected to adhere to the following rules and regulations.

Attendance & Punctuality

  • All students must attend school regularly and punctually.
  • School hours are from 7:30 AM to 1:30 PM on weekdays.
  • Students arriving late must report to the office and obtain a late pass.
  • A written excuse from parents/guardians is required for absences.
  • Frequent absences may result in loss of academic privileges.

Uniform & Appearance

  • Students must wear the prescribed school uniform at all times.
  • Uniforms should be clean, neat, and in good condition.
  • Name tags must be worn on the uniform.
  • Hair should be tied neatly with white ribbons.
  • Jewelry and makeup are not permitted.
  • White shoes and white socks are compulsory.

Behavior & Discipline

  • Students must show respect to teachers, staff, and fellow students.
  • Use of inappropriate language or behavior will not be tolerated.
  • Bullying, harassment, or violence in any form is strictly prohibited.
  • Students must maintain silence in corridors and during assembly.
  • Mobile phones and electronic devices are not allowed during school hours.
  • Cheating, plagiarism, and dishonesty are serious offenses.

Property & Safety

  • Students must respect school property and keep the premises clean.
  • Damage to school property must be reported immediately.
  • Students are responsible for their personal belongings.
  • Running in corridors and staircases is prohibited.
  • Students should not enter restricted areas without permission.
  • Emergency procedures must be followed during drills and actual emergencies.

Academic Integrity

  • All assignments and homework must be completed on time.
  • Students must bring required textbooks and materials to class.
  • Copying others' work is considered academic dishonesty.
  • Students must participate actively in class activities.
  • Extra-curricular activities should not interfere with academic responsibilities.

Disciplinary Actions

Violation of school rules may result in the following consequences:

  • Verbal warning
  • Written warning to parents
  • Detention
  • Suspension
  • Community service
  • Expulsion (in severe cases)
